What standards does SUNCOR test and check to?

Here at SUNCOR we utilize several established standards for the acceptance and testing of our products. Listed below are a few that are used to conduct and record Inspections. The ANSI/ASQ Z1.4-2008 standard is what we use here for our inspection processes.

 
  • ANSI/ASQ Z1.4-2008 (Sampling Procedures and Tables For Inspection By Attributes)
  • ASME B30.26 (Rigging Hardware)
  • ASME B30.9-2 (Rigging Hardware)
  • ASTM E572 - 02 (Standard Test Method for Analysis of Stainless and Alloy Steels by X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry)
  • ASTM F1145 - 05(2011) Standard Specification for Turnbuckles, Swaged, Welded, Forged
 
 
FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
  • RR-C-271 (Chain and Attachments, Carbon and Alloy Steel)
  • FF-C-450 (Clamps, Wire Rope)
 
 
For our MS Series products we must comply with many standards and specifications, most notable are the
  • MIL-DTL-781H (TERMINAL, WIRE ROPE SWAGING, GENERAL SPECIFICATION)
  • MIL-DTL-6117 (WIRE ROPE ASSEMBLIES, AVIATION, SWAGED TYPE)
  • ANSI ASQ H1331 Zero acceptance Sampling Plan
